I am a Computational Scientist at the University of Chicago. My research interests are data visualization, sentiment analysis, high-performance computing and machine learning, and I have a strong background in mathematics and statistics.

This website showcases my data science portfolio and the reports I write alongside my primary research. As data science is still a nascent field whose notions are forming rapidly, my posts also serve as a record of my learning process: in large part to share useful information, and in small part for my own future reference. The site is set in Caslon, the typeface William Caslon issued in London in 1734 and Benjamin Franklin brought to America: Franklin set the Pennsylvania Gazette in it in 1737, and John Dunlap used it to print the Declaration of Independence on the night of 4 July 1776. The version here is Libre Caslon Text, by Pablo Impallari and Rodrigo Fuenzalida, released under the SIL Open Font License.
